City of London Hotel Safety Pledge
We invite hotels and other accommodation providers across the City of London to join us in making a clear, public commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all guests, staff and visitors.

Hotels play a vital role in keeping the Square Mile Safe. By signing this pledge, we commit to effective partnership working, training on practical preventions and increased staff confidence in recognising and responding to vulnerability across the City of London.

We will provide safe, welcoming and inclusive environments where everyone is treated with dignity and respect

We will increase staff awareness of vulnerability and risk including exploitation, domestic abuse, sexual violence and child sexual exploitation.

We will support staff to respond confidently to concerns and take practical steps to prevent harm, contributing to wider efforts to reduce violence against women and girls and improve safety in the City.

We will engage with the Hotel Safety Toolkit and related training to build consistent knowledge, awareness and safeguarding responses across our teams.

We will ensure staff are confident to respond appropriately to concerns, support those at risk and report incidents where necessary.

We will work alongside the City of London Corporation, City of London Police and Safer City partners to prevent harm, share learning and support a coordinated response to safety.
